Wildcat! update information is documented using the following nomemclature:
NEW | A new feature was added. |
UPD | An update was perform which may include fixes, enhancements, changes. It may include new features as well, but not necessarily to be documented as new.. |
FIX | A fix was performed to an existing feature. |
ENH | Enhancement to a existence feature. The enchancement may be a result of a fix to the existing feature or a simple cleanup. |
CHG | Change to an existence feature behavior. This might be result or imply an enchancement or a fix. But overall, it is considered a simple change in behavior concept to an existing feature. |
DOC | Documentation item. A new or existing undocumented item is now documented or expanded. |
If any of the above have an asterish (*) prefix, it means the item is under consideration, reported, but has not been addressed or implemented yet.
wcSAP Filter Changes for Santronics IP addresses
Santronics network IP addresses were changed which will cause email acceptance from santronics.com or winserver.com problems on your wcSMTP/wcSAP setup. You won't see any support email from us. To correct this, please follow the change recommendations documented in the wcSAP Change 454.6 notes.

There are several ZIP files that may be updated during an AutoUpdate. This may or may not be unzipped automatically. In general, the zip files ARE NOT UNZIPPED if the updated files are deemed unimportant, may be optional or may require you back any changes done to the content of the zips. This zips include:

This is a major update correcting and cleaning some items in the 453.2 update. The VDG setup under WCCONFIG was greatly enhanced and many logical fixes were made to make sure VDG works!
Updated and new http\template files were provided:
To utiliize the new 453.3 template features and to have an improved login/logout logic, you must manually unzip wcWebAuth.zip which in 453.3 is automatically unzipped. This is already required if you wish to implement the new PCI Session Management features.

Please note that wcWEB now supports a CUSTOM folder under the HTTP\TEMPLATE folder where you may copy and customized the template files. wcWEB will look in the HTTP\TEMPLATE\CUSTOM folder first before using the HTTP\TEMPLATE folder to find a template file.
SPECIAL UPGRADE NOTES FOR VERSION 6.2.452.1
Overall, this is a plug and play update. If you are using stock web templates for the MESSAGE, FILE, WHO, PERSONAL and CHAT clients, there is no other consideration you need to make for this upgrade.
However, if you obtained this update via the AuP or used the CD ugprade option, to use the improved login error flow and display features, you need to do one thing
Open a DOS WINDOW, switch to the wildcat folder and type:
unzip -o wcwebauth
This is not necessary however, it will give you a major new piece which offers the new login error controls.
